Holmgrens Konditori - Kalmar

A real gem, showing you how the Swedes have had their fika since Ronald Reagan was an actor and not a president : Cosy curved sofas, nice windows to watch the Kalmar people walking by and absolutely the best pastry in town! Don't miss it!

Great classic cafe with very tasty cakes and pastries. This place has been around for ages. We used to come here when I went to school in Kalmar years ago so it was nice to see that they have evolved while retaining the classic feel. Also, for anybody used to the inflated coffeeshop prices of today, this place is hard to beat for value. Recommended

The employees were welcoming, the coffee was delicious, and our semlor were amazing! The atmosphere was also wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

This is one of the last traditional coffee shops/bakeries (konditoris) left in Sweden. It has a charming 1950s atmosphere and is a must-visit spot in Kalmar. It's one of the top two places in Kalmar, along with Källaren Kronan, and conveniently located near each other. Holmgrens Konditori serves coffee and tea with delicious homemade traditional Swedish pastries and cookies. The reason I rate it excellent is because of the cozy atmosphere. And, of course, the pastries and cookies are also very tasty.

This café has a nostalgic 1950s charm and offers a tempting selection of cakes and pastries - not the place to visit if you're trying to watch your diet! The only downside was the lukewarm tea water served in a glass pot, but the variety of loose teas available made up for it. Overall, the tea selection is good.
