Bidra med feedbackWe struggled to rate this one (I always discuss the rating with my fellow diners! $275 for 3 of us, 4 'shares ' to start, 3 mains and 3 desserts. And while the shares and mains were tasty, they were over priced for what they were. $14 for two very small (albeit tasty fish tacos, $38 for a piece of steak, one mushroom and some potatoes is a bit much. It lacked the oompf of a good steak. Desserts were a HUGE let down! $6 per scoop of ice cream from a tub and $15 for a piece of cake from a wholesaler (as waiter told us after the fact . At those prices make it in house or drop the prices.
Very fast and friendly service. I recommend the steak sandwich and hand cutting chips. lack of variety with the tap-pears. I would expect more for a stylish looking pub.
Driftwood in the mullaloo beach hotel indicates finer, seafood cuisine with its name, but in fact served good old fashion pub grub. think about burger, pizza, salt and pepper and a few seafood options. the fish tacos were my favorite, followed by the steak sandwich, that was the thing striped of tender steak makes it easy to eat. it is all very nice, tasty, hearty and good priced. however, they do not expect light, delicate food options that seem a scandal in the face of their location and arise. especially if they can sit at the pub next door for this type of food (but it is more beautiful in the restaurant). a bar dominates the room, but it is bright, airy with a beautiful view. the service was very hit and miss. every time we ordered drinks, they were forgotten, but the food arrived immediately. to their credit, the manager has corrected the beverage situation, which is very appreciated and what they expect. I slay driftwood for a large group with hearty spears that appeal to most people.
The management and the personal were the only saving gnade for this experience. the food took an hour and half to get out. I felt extremely regrettable for the amazing waitresses, who apologise nothing but for the culinary behaviour and the unprofessionality in releasing our food. hopefully, the place will soon get new owners, as this is the third time that we have been and still shocking since the takeover of the current owners (although now at least it is table service).
Started out well, nice view of a car park and ocean, nice clean modern decor, FANTASTIC SERVICE, great entree 's with goats cheese....finely cut fried squid, but all this joy was short lived when i ordered a $39, burnt drink coaster sized steak! WTF? Ordered another one, was better...slightly...zero flavour from what must have been 150 grams of low quality rump, as it sure wasn 't a premium cut of beef. DONT order the $15 cocktails, as they tasted of E85 ethanol! Wont be returning here soon. PS: Why is there approx. 100 pieces of blackened old cheawing gum covering the the steps to the entrance??? EEWWWWWWW!
