9/2/2020 Safety: I appreciate the utensils were individually wrapped, each diner got their own ban chan. The staff wore masks and I saw plexiglass partitions between other tables.However, sanitation could be a little more mindful, I saw a table get switched and at no time did staff sanitize that table before a new couple sat down at the 'original table '...that was disappointing to see because it 's like going to a grocery store and the associate assures you the cart you 're about to touch was sanitized...only to find out it really wasn 't.QR Codes are given at each table to look up their menu onlineFood: Quality of food was excellent, fresh and flavorfulDining/cooking experience: Still good overall. The staff didn 't check on us much, so when we flagged someone down we had to ask for many things (ie refill on waters, napkins, takeaway of the plate that held the raw meats, etc)Pro:you don 't smell as much because the outdoors obviously help dissipate the smoke from grilling. Con: It is the outdoors, so please understand that outdoor elements are out of the staff control. As of the date of my review it 's hot, so hydrate and or take appropriate measures on yourself to stay protectedPricing: Overall it 's okay/fair pricing. It was a little expensive for what I have gotten at other places, but overall not bad. Please note they charge for extra riceParking: Parking is tough, I am not 100% sure but I want to say there is like 4-6 parking spots in the lot, very limited because there are designated spots for the laundromat next door.However, there is street parking and meters surrounding the area, so just come prepared/patient or carpool with people in the same household per covid guidelinesOverall: First time here, it was good food overall, the staff was friendly, and I would recommend it to others and return myself
Bit on the expensive side, but it's delicious. Service is always good, and the combos are good. But, again, expensive compared to most places.
My friends and I were lucky to get an outdoor table and dine al fresco for lunch. There's always that fear of eating old food because restaurants are not turning over their food supplies as they used to or cutting back on portions. We were grateful nothing changed from our previous dining experiences and everything at Soowon was fresh. The banchan was awesome, served all individually portioned. We got the marinated and unmarinated galbi, ribeye steak, and kkot ssal, and all the meats were beautifully marbled. Also, we appreciated that the marinated galbi wasn't overly sweet or wasn't sitting in the marinade for a long time. Each bite had that initial resistance before the beef melts away in your mouth. Of course, we had mool naeng myun at the end to finish off our meal.It was nice to get out of the house and we appreciated Soowon's staff making sure everyone was socially distanced so that all customers could enjoy eating out.
