Lido Pizza - Kalkbaai iNingizimu Afrika

Food was nasty and watery.....weird atmosphere...not the same as it use to be...my food.had.no seasonings...just bland taste...

We used to go to Lidos when I was a kid 40+ years ago. I remember loving my dad holding me up to watch the pizzas being prepared. We moved away and I hadn't been back...until this week! All my warm memories rushed back to me! I was surprised that the pizza was as great as I remembered so long ago. The Italian green salad is a must, with the cheese on top! We also ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza. The crust was crispy, with just enough chew. The tomato sauce had rich flavor and the amount of cheese was enough to keep toppings from falling off, but not too much to overwhelm the pizza. Service was attentive and speedy. The ice cold pitcher of beer was perfect for a hot summer day. So happy to rediscover Lido's!!

Best supreme pizza around. It’s a real pizza, full of toppings and lots of cheese. We will go out of our way to get it even though there’s a ton of pizza places around. The ambience is like an old mafia pizza joint…old furniture and dark, but the Italian food is spot on and the supreme pizza is the best.
