This is the best Japanese restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. If you want quality Japanese food, come to Chiba’s.

Service was horrible.Food took about 55 minutes to arrive after ordering.During that wait, the waiter didn't come check up on us even once.I had to talk to manager who offered to give us complimentary ice cream. But guess what; that never showed up either.Due to it already being late we had to leave, so we asked for the check and got out of there.Horrible experience.

This place gets packed within 30 minutes after it opens. Never seen so many sushi chefs. Goes to show you they are that busy! And that good!

I have nothing but good things to say about Chiba! I’ve been going to Shig’s for about 30 years now and it feels like home when I walk in. Shig serves the freshest most tasty sushi in Los Angeles. His sauces and marinades are perfectly matched to each serving. I know people that drive up from OC to have a meal. None batter

Excellent! Had the deluxe sashimi dinner. The fish was Very fresh, high grade and the presentation was beautiful. It was preceded by a very good miso soup and equally good beef teriyaki! Had to try the Toro after that. Like butter! Noho?!?! Who would 've thunk it lol. Great value! My new, go to sushi spot in the valley!
