Bidra med feedbackMy husband and I shared the appetizer Platter and Birria Quesadilla (picture shows only half of the Quesadilla). So delicious! And so much food! The Birrie was delicate and super tasteful. Everything was hot and fresh. Salsa was spicy, but delish. Guac was so good. All in all a good meal for this pregnant gall and we will be back for their Tacco special on Mondays!
I was on Quekas Authentic Mexican Food on E Cork St, Kalamazoo, MI, from Julio, an experienced Mexican Correcaminos that would drive miles for their Tacos de birria. Mexico was indeed in Carmen's hospitality and food. Natalya, my wife, went for the Aztec soup and I for a bowl of pozole of a great wedding order and of course the Tacos de birria. We were not disappointed and it was very expensive.
This local jewel is an absolute must! Everything is homemade and you can say it. You have a wide selection of meat and not meat options. The Quekas themselves are a must!! I can't stress that enough. If you have the opportunity to eat in the house, you will be treated to a beautiful service, but expect to stay and enjoy your time here. As indoor plants lovers, their crazy huge indoor plants are interesting and beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough. Just go!
I ate the steak tacos Mexican way twice. Mmmm mmm!!! Then I had the chicken enchilada with beans and rice. It was not a traditional enchilada I had in the past. It was quite a corn taco folded like a taco with salsa and cheese crushed; but that did not take away from the great taste and presentation. Both experiences were great. Pleasant waitress friendly environment. I'm back.
I have been going here multiple times a week for weeks for lunch! Their steak tacos mexican style are to die for! Rice and beans are always on point and hotter than hell in the summertime! I’m for sure a regular and would recommend the steak tacos and dry/wet steak burritos to anyone!
