Bidra med feedbackThis was quite good. The service was fast and friendly. They now accept credit card, which makes purchases easier. The salsa is delicious, but be warned that it’s a solid medium, so will be too spicy for a more someone that is sensitive to spicy food.
Can’t say enough about the quality and value of the food at this little, nondescript place but locals know it’s unquestionably some of the best anywhere in SW Michigan. We’ve tried every single authentic Mexican restaurant we can find in the area and these folks share top honors for sure. Best single feature: the green sauce. Be sure to ask for extra! Red is fine, but green is like some inexplicable elixir of the gods (what’s the secret? roasted tomatillos? . Great on literally everything, and a superb alternative to salsa with your chips. All the taco options are outstanding we think they’re the best in Kzoo. Steak is probably the best of all. Entrees are surprisingly great, too try the enchiladas verde, which is mind blowing: fresh, flavorful, with homemade tortillas as a base, slightly crispy around the edges from taking some time in the oven. What a difference that makes! I like the chicken, but I think you can’t go wrong whatever you select for your meat. Chile relleno is also really good, but we think that particular dish is even better up the street at Quekas. The people who work here are always unfailingly friendly and a pleasure to visit. This place is a gem hiding in the Edison neighborhood. I almost hate to give them even more business, because some nights it’s actually to busy to get in even for takeout but they deserve it. Maybe they’ll expand sometime in the future?
Very good. I stopped by this food truck on Wednesday and really enjoyed my enchiladas rojas. The prices are reasonable, the staff was nice, and the food tasted great. It seems that El Gallo Blanco has some competition on Portage St.
Can 't Go Wrong with a Taco Truck. A taco truck? Right here in Kalamazoo?! Outstanding. Having grown up in Southern California, taco trucks are so ubiquitous, you don 't even think there are poor people in other parts of the country who don 't have them. Having lived in one of those other parts now for nearly 2 decades, I now recognize what a terrible oversight that was. In any event, when we saw this truck open on a Saturday afternoon, we had to stop by for a taste. It 's proximity to La Mexicana one of our favorite places in town bode well for what we were to expect and the al pastor, lengua, and chicharron as available options in addition to typical chicken and asada were good signs as well. Seeing as how we were here with the kiddos, I couldn 't talk The Mrs. into getting some lengua or chicharron, so we stayed fairly vanilla with the al pastor and asada. I am happy to report that they lived up to and exceeded expectations. The fresh, corn tortillas were flavorful and distinct; so much so that they contributed significantly to the overall product beyond just serving as a container. The onions and cilantro were plentiful without being overpowering. The marinated pork was very good and the pineapple helped kick up the sweetness substantially; I still maintain that the al pastor at La Mexicana is the best in town (it is absolutely amazing , but this was pretty good too. And the asada was tender and flavorful. It all came together for tender, juicy, and flavor packed bite that was delicious, if a bit on the small side (although, for $1.50 apiece, that 's to be expected. Highly recommended. Side Note: Although I 'm only talking about the tacos here (because that 's all we got and that 's what they 're clearly focused on , there is a fairly full menu here (enchiladas, burritos, tortas, tamales, etc. , so if something 's wrong with your taste buds and you don 't like tacos, there are other options available.
An incredibly delicious, authentic little food truck with fresh home made Mexican food. What’s not to like about that?
