The Caribean II - Kaiserslautern

Looking for a taste of Cuba, this is the place. I say try the paella and you'll be happy with the portion. They also offer dance nights.

We were eating here with my colleagues. we wanted to try out something new and therefore used the slemmerblock offer in this restaurant.After the reservation of a table with a freshly raised roof worked well, the reception in the restaurant was not so cozy. both services just enjoyed their free time on the terrace and felt by our arrival not necessarily motivated to change this. although the restaurant was completely empty, we got the table for us with flickering lamp. after all, after all sat, the offer was also happy to change the table. the look into the map (we got all 6 available cards for 9 people) was quite promising: some Caribbean-sounding dishes repeatedly interrupted by classmates who can expect in a sports home. the prices were not very low at 15-20€ per dish, but for good eating can give it out. a lot of the food was however asking, as some understood were unknown to us. the first reaction of the service to demand was: "in general, questions are bad. I'm just new here." our questions were then answered. now to the most important part, the food:I had a chicken curry, which consisted of small chopped chicken in curry sauce. you could also say it was skin and bone with some meat in curry powder and water. other spices were not used. the other dishes were at least edible. However, I think 15€ is a fried chicken lobe with some supplements as though overpriced. since the previously asked supplement festival (small knödel) was missing. on demand it was just lapidar: "festival gibt es nicht heute."Positiv one has to calculate that the curry was replaced by another court on request at 2 persons without a more costem.The service then had no overview even in billing so that without a corresponding note we could only pay for 8 instead of 9 persons.All in all stays only to say if there is no service, price and restaurant. for this money you came in louder and definitely go to eat significantly better.

The food is authentic and the staff was super friendly. I will bring my family and friends back there.

The pictures look better than the meal we had. The staff was awesome, but the food is not authentic! The empanadas were not freshly made, but were pre-made, frozen, from a box. If you are Hispanic or used to eating freshly prepared authentic Hispanic food, then you will be terribly disappointed. Most comments above are from staff. Don't waste your time or money.

All great! there were very tasty eating and large portions. very good service. I am completely satisfied.
