Saks - Kaiserslautern

Terrible food and terrible service. They do not comply with most simple dietary restrictions and the staff is not competent in customer service.

Worst manager ever! We booked at the old Saks restaurant where we still have good memories! We arrived and while waiting , We ordered a bottle of Grauburgunder Hensel und Gretel but we received instead a bottle of Markus Scnheider Grauburgunder. When I ask for...explanation, I was told that it's the same wine and the price will stay the same! Unfortunately they didn't know that in the party there was an experienced sommelier! In fact Hensel und Gretel it's a Scnheider cuvée that cost almost they try to sold the ordinary wine at the same price! When I asked further information , the manager didn't even try to apologize or seek an explanation, he just try to explain that the wine was good! At the end we decided to leave the place! Bottom line they tried to fool us but this time were unsuccessful! recommendation: bring back the old management and the old personnel or find a new job!

The food was wonderful but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not crowded and for the price I expected better attentiveness and timing, which is why it did not receive an excellent rating from me. The decor and spacing was nice, located within...the hotel and downtown area. The only other thing I did not like is having to walk down flights of stairs into a basement area to use the restroom.

Although the hotel is in center of city and the atmosphere is set to be very chic the food was very disappointing. We ordered the salad, got a huge kitchen bowl and no cutlery. After we had the steak which consisted of fatty meat and...completely over salted. It was a euro meal that in reality was not worth the salt that was on the food. And there was a lot of salt. My tip is to stick to the bar, enjoy the view. But just skip the restaurant all together.

Next place is called soul food who knows what that will be like.... have to give words minimum but there is nothing to say since the restaurant is changing but to make trip advisor happy....
