I have lived 6 km from this restaurant for several years and never visited because of mixed reviews. quel domage! a superb laughter, a perfectly cooked. Entrecote in a beautiful pfeffer sauce, with a mango/chocolat fabric, and a very good price. all served on a beautiful terrace, with a beautiful chilled local rosé. I will return. there are those on tripadvisors who are here just to hurt. a recent review of thsi restaurant spoke of reheated frozen remnants, but it is interesting to note that thsi’s first and only tripadvisor review he has ever published. with which motiw? hostellerie des commandeurs is the real deal!
We have visited this restaurant a few times and have alias be en impressed with the qualityof the food , reasonable prices and professioral service. Worth a detour to the charming village of Joucas. There is also a bar in the same building which is...charming.
We have visited this restaurant through some years and have always been very pleased. They offer local produce and we have never been disappointed. The menus are varied and offer tremendous value. The quality of the food is high and the cooking very good. Staff...is very helpful and have invariably been very polite and helpful. Some English is spoken. Even though our French is less than basic we have always understood each other. In summer evenings the terrace is the place to be, in the shade under the trees overlooking the fields and in the distance mountains. The inside dining room is simple but nice. All in all very good and plentiful food reasonably priced served by a friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Had a nice lunch on outdoor patio. The waitress was very pleasant. They have a very reasonably priced prix fixe or an a la carte. The menu was small but varied enough for the children to find something they liked. the fish and the desserts...were the highlights. One of the more reasonably priced meals we had in the Luberon
La cuisine n'est pas à remettre en question, le fait maison est présent, la qualité également. Domage pour le chef cuisinier, son travail est légèrement terni par un manque d'attention à table, le service est long et ce manque d'organisation est clairement ressenti pendant le repas.
