Bidra med feedbackMy husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Villa Pachon on July 18th, 2018. We were beginning a short vacation and wanted to start it off with a special meal before heading to Quebec City to celebrate a birthday. Villa Pachon exceeded our expectations. The restaurant, also an Auberge (Inn), was stunning and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We had pre-ordered the Cassoulet two days in advance, as the restaurant requires 48 hours notice for this dish. The meal was exceptional, the service was fantastic, and the wine list was extensive and affordable. The dining room was lovely and we couldn't recommend this place enough if you are visiting the Saguenay region of Quebec. You won't be disappointed!
This wonderful establishment used to be called the Guest House when I was living in the area. It was a private hotel owned by a local paper company and reserved for VIP guests. Now, it is owned and run by Koch Daniel Pachon and his wife Carole. The restaurant can be best described as upscale and luxurious.
Do not have to go to Carcassonne to get a good Cassoulet. Great meal, excellent service The wine map is also very impressive.
I have dined at many restaurants in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Ventura California, Miami, New York, France, Canada, and Australia, but this restaurant serves some of the best food I have ever eaten. The gourmet quality of the food and excellent service make for a divine and exquisite dining experience. The only thing that would make it even better is a bit of jazz music. This place definitely deserves 100 points.
I had here an excellent fish in ginger sauce pot, very good fried dumplings and a not so good beef with 2 types of onions.
