Blackthorn Club - JONESBOROUGH

My wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Blackthorn Club and it was absolutely PERFECT!! We would no longer have asked what they offered and the service they provided. We held the ceremony on the veranda; the views were breathtaking! The decorations that were very simple and minimal added to the natural beauty of the club and we believe that we did not find a more beautiful place to say "I do". We kept the reception in the pavilion and it was also perfect. The decorations as on the veranda were very simple, but so beautifully elegant and gave us the 'rustic elegance' we hoped to reach. Both areas have comfortably accommodated our guests between 90 100 and offer a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. The food was deliciously a Mexican theme, buffet style spread and added to the very funny and casual atmosphere we wanted. Kudos to the chef so sorry that we can remember his name: The Blackthorn employees led by Mrs. Jennifer Garcia were extremely extraordinary! Jennifer helped us not only prepare and organize in the months of the wedding, but acted as our wedding coordinator on the day and saw that everything, every last detail, went as we wanted. It even made last-minute changes and processed last-minute requests quickly and efficiently. The rest of the Blackthorn staff was equally committed, reliable and efficient. They worked hard to make sure things went smoothly. The drinks flow and the food never ran out. The tables were cleaned soon after the guests were finished with their food and no one 's needs went inappropriate, though, I don't know if someone needed anything, we had it already thanks to the staff! . The staff was respectful and courteous and was even involved in the festivities, danced and conversationed with the guests when they worked. Katie and I recommend the Blackthorn Club, and we cannot thank them enough for everything they gave and did for us!

Today played there. This place is amazing. Too bad it is not open to the public; but if it were, it wouldn't be so big. I think I just have to wait till next year to play again.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Schwarzdorn. We've made our rehearsal dinner there, we're ready to play the guys golf, we had our ceremony and reception at the black mandrel. It was literally the most perfect day of our lives. Jenn, the event coordinator, at the Blackthorn does not miss any detail. We met regularly until the wedding to plan every detail of the wedding. On the wedding day, I myself, family, wedding celebration and guests did not want the food and service was phenomenal! I told Jenn my vision and she knocked it out of the park. It was better than I could have imagined myself. The staff was also very thoughtful. The day of the wedding made for a stress-free day. We had the Mexican buffet for rehearsal dinners, packs with fruit and chips for lunch the day and the Italian buffet for the reception, and it was amazing! They packed food and cake for us to take home with us. My husband and I love coffee and they created a beautiful coffee bar and show with our wedding gifts. She coordinated other providers and was simply phenomenal. If you want a magical wedding day in which you and your family can rest back, relax and enjoy it then choose the Blackthorn, and no you do not need to be a member to have your wedding here as we were not, but they really treat you like license on the Blackthorn!
