Red Crab Juicy Seafood - Joliet

I was there a while ago and the food was good. This time it was just unbelievable to open up a box that's a supposed chicken tender meal and it only has two pieces and some fries. Really!?! I know the inflation is hitting places but, to go as far as only two pieces of chicken for the price!!!! ???????????????????????????????? Guests, if you order for take out, I advise for you to check your orders before walking out.

Excellent!!!! Normally take pix of our food for reviews but this time we were so distracted by the amazing aroma we couldn?t wait to dig in. Ordered on a whim for my son?s birthday. He wanted a lobster roll and this is where we found it. So glad we did!! His lobster roll was excellent. Also ordered the Tuesday special and the Weekend. Shrimp was big! None of those itty bitty things. Food was fresh and worth every penny. In this day and age post pandemic it was absolutely refreshing to enjoy such an amazing meal. This will now be our go to place for meals of this sort ????

Our experience here was quite the mixed bag. Some of the food was absolutely delicious and some was so bad we spit it out. For instance, the fried calamari appetizer was atrocious. Most of the pieces tasted old and gummy. And the clam chowder, while not bad, is more of a potato soup than a clam chowder. It didn?t have the rich thickness and there were barely any clams, though I must?ve had at least two whole potatoes. Again, it didn?t taste bad, but it wasn?t what I ordered. The fried shrimp, though, was amazing: light and crispy, with just the right amount of spice. And the boil we got was tasty as well, with the lobster tail being a particular delight. But all the sides were very middling and the potatoes were a little undercooked. And the service leave much to be desired. They weren?t rude, but we were essentially ignored after ordering. With the food being so hit-or-miss, I don?t think we?ll be trying it again.

I have been looking for a good seafood restaurant where I can create my own seafood bag. Since I was nervous about the taste and freshness of the shellfish I only picked 1/2lbs of black mussels, 1/2lbs of headless shrimp and one lobster tail with mild Cajun seasoning. The bag came with only 2 small potatoes and 1 half corn in it which I believe is not enough if you think about the money I paid for 1 bag of seafood, I definitely suggest to be more generous on the sides they put in those bags. Also, the lobster tail was the smallest lobster tail I have ever eaten! Really!!! The Cajun seasoning was delicious. I had cocktail shrimp as an appetizer but didn't like it. Waitress had very limited knowledge about the menu, we kind of got nervous every time we ask questions to her about the options. She might be new. I will continue with my search for a restaurant where I can get seafood bag since I believe this restaurant is overpriced and you get very small portions for the price you pay.

This review will be based on their employees honesty! My sister had a huge party over there last Fri and she left her expensive sun glasses on the table. Of course she walked off without them but their staff said oh no glasses Herr? Smh! She knows she left them there! Your employees are not honest enough huh? Not to mention got a fat tip for the party she had over there and they take her sunglasses. Shame on you red crab you suck
