Trophys Grill - Johnstown

The food at this restaurant is tasty, but the service is almost non-existent. I waited alone at a booth for about 10 minutes before anyone noticed me. It took another 5 minutes just to sample a draft. Then, another 15 minutes passed before I finally received a menu and a beer, even though I already knew what I wanted to eat. I ended up spending an hour and 47 minutes there, and I usually leave a restaurant with the last bit of food in my mouth. If the restaurant improved the quality of their wait-staff, I would definitely dine there more often.

My friend highly recommended Trophy's for breakfast, so we decided to give it a try today. When we arrived at 9:30am, there were no cars in the parking lot even though they open at 9:00am. Upon entering the restaurant, we immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke. A man holding a cigarette welcomed us and told us to choose any empty table. Not wanting to dine in a smoky environment, we quickly decided to leave. As we headed back to our car, we saw another man leaving the restaurant with a cigarette in hand. It appears that smoking is allowed in Trophy's, which is against the regulations in Pennsylvania. I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you prefer to enjoy your meal without inhaling second-hand smoke.

This local restaurant is fantastic! I really enjoyed the steamed shrimp and the new ribs are amazing. They beat all the chain restaurants' ribs! It's a great place to bring the kids, with excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere. I used to run a restaurant in Virginia and I could see the attention to detail and care in the kitchen. The fresh salad was beautiful. Forget about Burger King and McDonald's - support this great local business instead!

I always love trying new restaurants when I'm back home and I will definitely be returning to this place. The hot wings really stood out with their sharp flavor and delicious taste. I always order the cheeseballs and they did not disappoint, especially with the marinara sauce. Our server, Alex, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the beer selection. Thanks for a great experience!

The bartenders were rude, body-shaming, and refused service while laughing in patrons' faces. The owner's response to my review on their business Facebook page seemed very unprofessional. TOM, if you have employees behaving this way, please take action and remove them. This behavior is only harming your business. Additionally, the food was terrible. A friend of mine visited on Sunday for the first time with her boyfriend and got sick. It's unfortunate. TOM, you don't have to worry about me ever returning to your establishment.
