Happy Wok - Johnson City

I have been a satisfied customer of Happy Wok for many years. This family-owned business is a gem of the Boones Creek area. My picky son loves it, and we are frequent customers. I have never been disappointed. The portions are generous, the flavor is always on point, and the lady who runs the front is so friendly and nice. Love Happy Wok!

If you like sesame fried bread balls and Kung Pao celery along with cabbage only egg rolls then this is the place for you. Just another typical Chinese food takeout that doesn?t care about quality. They just want your money!! Just awful!!

I didn't realize the restaurant was pretty much closed when I stopped for lunch. There is a sign on the front door directing customers into the little plastic enclosure through the next door. The restaurant is piled high with supplies whatnot the plastic is dirty making it anything but appealing. If the woman on the other side of the sliding window hadn't started talking to me, I would have left. I ordered 2 spring rolls, paid waited... waited... waited over 10minutes. I was surprised at the size of the spring rolls as large as an egg roll. Unfortunately, they were rather flavorless. Except for the cabbage, I really couldn't discern any flavor. I should have just walked away when I saw theplastic cage I definitely won't be back!!

Absolutely amazing. The new favorite kitchen of my family. Chicken is so fresh and delicate, hot and very clean restaurant. I prefer Happy Wok over Empire Buffet from now on....
