Bidra med feedbackIf you’re thinking about stopping, do it. My wife and I just picked up some food after months of passing by their truck and only wish we had stopped sooner. We tried their quesadilla and beef and chicken tacos, and man did they marinate and season everything beautifully. It’s the closest we’ve had to authentic Mexican food we’ve found in Charleston. We will definitely be making the trip back to John’s Island just for this truck.
Real Mexican food. One of the best I’ve had in SC since we moved from
This truck is the real deal. Quality food. Best taco in Charleston.
I think TJs idea of good Mexican food must be taco bell. If that's what you're after, don't come here. If however you're after quite possibly the best AUTHENTIC Mexican food, stop here and then stop again and again as I did. I ate here every day for a week straight and switched it up a bit. The prices for everything were honestly ridiculous. You could spend $20 here, or $100 in Charleston and I promise this meal would top the expensive meal. The asada tacos were my favorite until I tried the torta. For those who don't know, this is basically a Mexican sandwich that is literally the size of the to-go boxes. A heaping portion of steak, cilantro, onions, fried egg, and that secret sauce all piled onto one of the best buns I've ever had. I highly recommend it to anybody who's worked up an appetite and an appreciation for good food. I also love the little market right there because I was able to get some of the same ingredients he uses for myself, so on the days I can't make it out here, I could still try to replicate it at home. If I could I'd give Gallina Loca 6/5 stars and have TJ banned for life for being dumb lol.
They guy was so nice! Literally the best tacos I’ve never had.
