If you have to ask me what my favourite steakhouse is, the answer is easy… the Local Grill. The Local Grill is based in Parktown North and has been around since 2002. The owner, Steve Maresch, follows a strict “field to fork” principle meaning that the beef is sourced from the best producers and then aged at the restaurant and cut to order.
If you’re looking for a good steak, this is the place to come. The staff are also very pleasant and knowledgeable. Great wine list and pleasant ambiance.
Great steaks, high attention to detail, excellent preparation; especially the soft and succulent well done steaks! The timeline of when and how the steaks are aged (the more aged the tastier) all form part of the excellent experience
Another place if you’re feeling like devouring meat. I ate the pork ribs and as usual had it with a baked potato. Always a winner! The desserts are pretty darn good if you find space for some!
