Telč Château - Jindrichuv Hradec

Castle itself not very impressive but nice view from the tower. Also really beautiful town square.

Very beautiful castle especially from the outside with the lake in front of it.

Very nice old gothic castle rebuilt as a renaissance chateau. Slightly more pricy than other castles in CZ (such as Litomyšl) at 160 CZK per adult ticket. Tour is okay, nothing special, guidebooks in other languages you can obtain at the reception for free unfortunately lack pictures, so it is easy to lose track in it. Interior is very nice, however, whoever decided putting flowerpots with subtropical cacti and succulents among the 16th century furniture should be sent to jail. Tour takes about 50 minutes, don't forget to visit not only the gardens, but also the park of the chateau, it is truly lovely.

The preservation and restoration of this historical place are almost perfect. The garden and trees have been nicely taken care of. I'm wondering whether the administration would, in the future, allow visits which we could take our own pace at any allowed spots, instead of just poke in to see then hurldled to the next stop.

Cool place... but they could do better in accommodating tourists
