This Indian restaurant is not bad at all if you are looking for some Indian food. After a cold day in the snow, we decided it was best to get a take-away meal.
The butter chicken with naan at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! Their lunch specials offer great value for the price. So tasty!
Didn't book, but were seated straight away. Ordered their banquet for two, which was quite a cheap way to get a variety of dishes. The food was served fresh and was delicious, not overly spiced or under, balanced perfectly. Couldn't finish the meals between two of us. Didn't match previous reviews we read
I visited Namaste on a Sunday night, mainly because there wasn't much else open in Jindabyne in the summer months. Given it was the only restaurant (other than pub/club), we were still the only ones there at 7pm. They are on the first floor and you will need to carry a stroller up, however there is ample storage in the restaurant. They also have a high chair. While the restaurant has air conditioning, it wasn't turned on - and it was quite hot - in March. Being on the first floor you do get a very good view of Lake Jindabyne. The menu is quite predictable, however they are not licensed and also don't have anything other than Coke or like cans (no lassi). We ordered the mixed entree and tandoori platter for starters and it was all too spicy. The only thing my kids could eat was the pastry for the samosa and the spring rolls. For mains we had the Vegetable Navratan Korma, which was actually quite nice however too sweet. The Chicken Tikka Masala was just too oily with a layer of oil on top of the bowl. The naans were nice. For dessert we decided to try the kulfi and it was just too hard and frozen and icy - not creamy as it should be.Overall a very ordinary night.
