Bidra med feedbackThe only reason we didn't walk out was we had to pay for our food up front, a trip to Cooma would have been quicker.We lined up for 20 minutes to be told most mains were unavailable, only hamburgers, steak, fish & chips. It took another 45 minutes for our food to arrive.I quite like pub style food at pub prices, this is way way overpriced pub food.Definitely not the Rydges we experienced 3 years ago - bring back the restaurant.
Booked 2 weeks in advance for the "restaurant" only to find that we had to order at the same counter as the bistro..my question what is the difference in areas...seeming none no table service whatsoever just a nervous manager scurrying around with a damp cloth.So apparently it is customary for the mains to come out at the same time as the entree according to the waitress and for 2 people out of 6 to completely finish their meals before any other meals come out ...ah but wait another main but still no starter
We went for the Thursday night steak special in August 2017, great value ment that it was very popular, it took 15mins to order due to the line up but the meals came out in good time and the quality of the steak was excellent on the night we were there.
Stayed at the Rydges, so wanted something I thought would be easy.Fiesy, half of the items in the menu were unavailable. Secondly, waited 1.5hrs for our food to come out, which with young kids was a nightmare. Next time I'll drive to Cooma Maccas and back, would be easier.
Very nice meals and you can eat by the fireplace or in the dining room. Encourage 20% Rydges Members Discount, it does make a difference. On our first night we did not realise we had to order at the counter and sat at the restaurant tables, we would have appreciated the staff walking down to let us know to order, but they were not busy and stood at the bar area looking at us. Otherwise service was pleasant.
