Azienda Agrituristica La Barena

We were concerned that we went the wrong way and almost turned back but when we finally got there the view, the place, the welcome, everything was simply perfect. The owner is on deck to welcome you and truly make you feel at home, the staff seems to be happy all the time, the portions were simply big, and the wine was great. There is plenty of parking and space for the kids to play. Next time we will definitely overnight.

We stayed here as part of a Birds and art tour and found the food excellent. Every meal was different and had lots of different tastes. The family looked after us very well and explained to us that 60% of everything on the table was produced right there. I suggest trying the local red beer. Very good.

We stayed at La Barena and had dinner there one night. The food was ok but not a lot of choice. You could choose either fish or meat. We both ordered the fish and basically we got similar tasting dishes for appetiser, primi and secondi. The portions were big but we wouldn't eat here again. Please also read my review on their accommodation because that was great!

If you love genuine, real homegrown, natural food you will for sure love this place. We loved the risotto with raddichio best one I ever had! And the thistles (plant of the artichoke violet) or cardi were amazing. We had the rooster and the duck, botk delicious and for the sweet finish kaki (Japanese persimmon) ice cream. We ate there dinner twice and will definetly be back soon.

Excellent place to stay for my family and me. Staff/owner is an absolute gentleman. The accommodation is so good, with easy access to the region. We have used it as a base to travel round the area. The place is spotlessly clean and great to come back to and chill out. Highly recommend.
