The Boiling Bowl - Jennings Lodge

The veggie pho is great, and the portions are big. The place was clean and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. I'm coming back, it's a solid place.

It was a chilly, rainy evening, and I was craving something warm and comforting for dinner. A big, steaming bowl of pho really hit the spot. Lots of options. Good service.

Today was my first visit to this restaurant after many people suggested I check it out. I came in for a late lunch around 3pm. I was greeted at the door and instructed to sear myself. Shortly after I was seated I ordered a appetizer. I got the Ga Satay as recommended by my server and asked for it to come before the meal. I wanted bánh mì, and came here based upon the numerous recommendations that I had read. I’ll start by saying that the waitress was very kind (which I did appreciate), and that the food was good. With that being said, the napkin that was placed on the table was clearly stained, and the portion size within the bánh mì itself bordered laughable (it was mostly bread, and vegetables). I would like to give this place a better rating, but I can’t.

The Boiling Bowl is my favorite! Everything I've had is delicious. My favorites are the pork spring rolls, spicy beef noodle soup the chicken salad. Everything is so flavorful and authentic tasting. They also have great service and drinks. I loved my moscow mule it was perfectly balanced. Must try!!
