Ratia - Jenins

Bündner reign has this beautiful restaurant in Jenins. Rätia is a jewel in the middle of this beautiful wine region and offers the best food for your senses. Managed and owned by a beautiful couple, with a warm welcome and accomodating service and with dishes to make you happy. The food is made with fresh ingredients from the area, cooked for perfection, balanced with great taste. Everything on the menu is a feast for the palate. Lamb so tender, salmon with a light Indian touch, sauces that so delightful. Nothing is made for self-evident, you can see attention to detail also on the table setting. And the wine is a great round up to your food... such a vase of Pinot Noir wines from the region, just great! We love this restaurant and come again and again! Well done, guys! These are 5 stars of us.

I booked a table in Rätia with a advice and rewarded with an excellent dinner. The restaurant proves very popular many regular, so the advance booking is a must. The dining room is beautifully decorated and offers a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. A huge thumb-up to Jessica, Michi the tenants and her waitress for the friendly and smiling service during dinner, although the restaurant was full. The menu focuses on seasonal products and local suppliers. As a starter I had the so-called starter creation "Starter Creation", consisting of venison terrine, Horseradish, red cabbage soup. Delicious; but with CHF24.50 the share could have been a bit more generous! As the main course I chose the Hirschpfeffer Hirsch with all trims: delicious and generous. As sweet, I pampered myself with a homemade plum-Honey-Trifle, which has proven to be very tasty. On the bottom, Switzerland always had a high price structure and Rätia is no exception. The invoice was CHF97. Admittedly not for any budget, but the great food and even more service are worth it.

I came here with my friend, we had a record of starters to share and Cordon bleu as the main course. The food is local, the taste is amazing, we were completely satisfied. The location is quiet and romantic, the service is super good, the food is great. We would have tried everything on this menu.

Look for a restaurant serving deer (we are currently in the hunting season) and found this restaurant in beautiful Jenins. A lot of care with the source of food (usually from local farmers); dishes are very well worked up and presented. We both had a very fine deer dish, quite different from the usual heavy dish we have in Switzerland. We loved it and will definitely come back. The service was also very attentive and personalized. The starters were also excellent. Jeninser wine is very well known, so we have a local. All the best
