Slim Chickens - Jefferson City

Food was borderline undercooked. Forgot dipping sauces and order of fried pickles. When trying to reach out to a manager because the doors were locked (Even with the giant “Dining room now open” sign) and then calling multiple times just to be declined to voice mail. Poor service, poor quality and worst of all the food smells like oil that hasn’t been changed in weeks.

We tried to stop by for dinner at 7:00 on a week night but the doors were locked. I could clearly see staff inside so we went through the drive thru and was told they weren’t taking order. DoorDash only. Not a great business model if you ask me.

I was leary to try this place due to lots of reviews when they first opened, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The food was delicious and the portion size was great for the price.

The jar desserts here are so good! especially the brownie ones
