Tekarra Restaurant - Jasper

My rating is based solely on the dinner itself. If I were to evaluate the service separately, I would not give any stars. We had a reservation for 6:00 on a Wednesday night and upon arrival, the restaurant was nearly empty with only us at our server, Vince's table. He gave us a few minutes to look over the menu, but when he returned, he did not inquire about drinks. We ended up ordering our food first (an appetizer and two entrees) and then added a cocktail at the end. The appetizer arrived with my drink, which was unexpected. After waiting for some time, we realized that the bartender had not made our drinks. Vince apologized, claiming he was tired. When my duck dish arrived, he asked if we needed anything else, which was surprising as we were still waiting for part of our order. Despite clarifying our order with him initially, he claimed he had not heard us mention the starter we were missing. He mentioned he was "off his game tonight" even though the restaurant was not busy. The service continued to disappoint as my drink was spilled on the table, my husband's dish arrived after I had already finished my meal, and our requests for more water were ignored until our cocktail was ready. While uninterrupted dining time is appreciated, it would have been preferable for the waiter to rectify his mistakes promptly. Despite the decent food, the subpar service makes it unlikely that we will return to this restaurant. Vince openly admitted to his next table that he was not performing well that night, which only added to our frustration. My second drink was also spilled on the table, further solidifying our negative experience. Overall, not worth the price.

We stayed at this restaurant for three nights and also had dinner here. We sat on the terrace surrounded by forests and the sounds of the river. The beef short ribs were tender and tasty, and the saffron mussels were delicious as well. Don't forget to try the orange beer from Babe! It was fantastic. Thank you for hosting us. The lodges were also comfortable for a good night's sleep.

We were recommended this restaurant by our accommodation and it was amazing! The stuffed quail was especially delicious, as was the dessert with pineapple and coconut ice. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a hearty, delicious skillful breakfast. The service was wonderful. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the mountain view.

Breakfast was included in our stay at the Lodge and we had heard such great things about the restaurant that we were really looking forward to it. We weren't disappointed! The staff were all friendly and very efficient. Our food came out quickly and was...fresh and hot. Eggs Benny was delicious and cooked perfectly served with a side of fresh hot home made toast and jam and smooth creamy hollandaise sauce. Nice fruit salad too.
