Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from Yanago Station, on the second floor of a building. The ambiance is charming, with adorable knitted flower chair cushions and cozy lighting. All dishes served are vegan. My friend and I particularly loved the daily vegan desserts. While the cakes were slightly dry, everything else was absolutely delicious. The restaurant also has a small shop and plenty of reading material available. I only wish it was closer to my home! I would definitely make this restaurant a regular dining spot if it were.
What really impressed me about this place was the owner, who speaks English, but that's not the main point. After traveling around Japan, I've found that many people are helpful, but there was something special about the owner of Nihongo Kouru. I decided to try the most expensive item on the menu, which was only ¥1200 - a great deal! I wish I could go back and try more dishes. The food may not be groundbreaking or unique, but the attention to detail and extra touch make it stand out. This place has a lot of charm and the food is delicious. When I compared it to a new macrobiotic restaurant in Nara, Nihongo Kouru was clearly the better choice. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to return for Sunday lunch.
Everything was good and the price was reasonable. I paid around 1400¥ for the daily special and a dessert. Tea (hot or cold) is complimentary, so you don't need to add the price of a drink if you don't want it. The staff is friendly and the place is charming. There is a small shop at the entrance of the restaurant, which is convenient when you plan to visit a town where there is no vegan restaurant.
So good to find this place when I eat rice a week. Amazing food, cake was so great and ice cream was even better! Had a nice conversation with Honey and some ladies who were there to eat with them and shaved ice cream with them! Dear I would just stay in Yonago to go here thank you:
