Bidra med feedbackYoshinoya, a well-known fast-food chain in Japan, is famous for its signature dish, the donburi bowl. This bowl features white rice topped with pork, beef, or eel strips, and can also come with options like fried chicken or sets with egg, soup, and cabbage salad with sauces. While the food quality may not be outstanding, the affordable prices make up for it. A medium-sized pork donburi bowl costs just over two euros. Customers usually eat at the bar in most Yoshinoya restaurants, though larger locations like the one in Shibuya may offer table seating.
The fast food chain Yoshinoya is one of the most famous in Japan. The signature dish of this place is the don, as usual. The don is a bowl of white rice topped with strips of pork, beef, or eel. We can also have fried chicken, or sets that include egg (raw or semi-boiled) soup and/or cabbage salad with sauces. The quality of this food is not extremely high, as expected given its low price: A medium-sized pork don bowl costs just over two euros. In all these typical don restaurants, people usually eat at the bar. Only in large establishments like some in Shibuya are there usually tables.
The restaurants are small, with communal tables equipped with disposable chopsticks and various condiments. Customers are encouraged to eat quickly and respect the fast-paced Japanese dining culture by not lingering at the table for too long. Preparation times are fast and prices are very affordable (less than 5 euros for a meal!). Green tea is complimentary, and it is interesting to watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. Yoshinoya restaurants can be found all over Tokyo in various districts and are highly recommended for a quick and delicious meal.
