El Agavero Mexicano - Jamestown

Well seasoned traditional Mexican food. Ordered the chicken ACP w/ shrimp. The rice was delicious. Though well seasoned the protein was dry. Very good chips and salsa!

We got Veracrus and Pollo Palenque for takeout. Now, I must admit trying to order took a lot of patience. First it took 4 trys not to get a message that the voice messaging process was not set up. That would be defeating for new customers and those in a hurry. Because there are so many Mexican restaurants in the area, it would be very easy to just call the next one. But I was determined to support my most local Mexican restaurant. I am glad I did. Both meals were very good. I think the Pollo Palenque was my favorite. It was something I never had before and was very tasty. The Veracrus was made well, but was nothing unique. You can get a version of this shrimp dish just about anywhere. Will I be back, sure if I can get a hold of them without trying several times. It was very good, but as I have said, so are other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Great food and service. They give good sized portions.

Still excellent service each time, just wish it was busier as some of their authentic meals are better than a lot of other restaurants.

I am sorry I do not have a picture. This snow storm took out the power at my Ex's house where my Daughters are staying. I ordered them food since he was not there. One Daughter is vegetarian so ordered both meals vegetarian. I was told there was meat in the food. Called restaurant and they admitted to putting beef in the burrito, but did not do anything to make up for the mistake. I should have received some kind of refund. Am I crazy to think this?
