The tour of the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery was one of the activities I looked forward to most when visiting Boston, and it did not disappoint. They offer a variety of tours ranging from $10 to $50, as well as group tours. My friends and I opted for the $10 Sam Signature Experience, and it was fantastic. For $10, you get a few beer tastings, which was definitely enough to get me tipsy. My group was paired with several other groups, totaling maybe 15 people, with one tour guide. Despite the group being large, it felt immersive and engaging. The tour guide was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the history and operations of the brewery and made us laugh quite a few times. It was my first time touring a brewery, and I very much enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this tour for those looking for unique activities to do in Boston!
Great tour with a great guide! We hopped on the Sam's Signature Experience Tour as part of our GoCity ticket and loved learning about the history of Samuel Adams and the R&D Brews. These are also available for purchase in the tap room and gift shop. On game days at home, they also have $2 Fenway Franks! Service was great and we were even able to take our leftover beer in a plastic cup on the tour with us if we weren't able to finish up before it began. Awesome experience!
We always have to check out the brewery where it originated from, so a stop at Sam Adams was a must. Make sure you come to this brewery in Jamaica Plains and NOT the taproom, so you could get the actual tour. When you first arrive, it's situated in an unassuming neighborhood so don't be surprised. There is a parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue if you're driving. There was outdoor and indoor space for people to enjoy their beers as well. We started off with the Beyond the Brewhouse tour for $25 per person. I thought it was clever how they used the beer label as your ticket. This tour included 3 samples of beer as we were lead into 3 different rooms learning all about beer. In the end, you even get to keep a Sam Adams glass as a souvenir, so that was neat. Our guide was funny and enjoyable despite how much information was thrown at us. Great activity to check out while enjoying some beer.
Great atmosphere to enjoy some unique beers and good games and tours ... bartender was very helpful on selections
