Metro Diner - Jacksonville

I've been there for years, and it's getting worse. Today was the last straw. Since with my daughter, she ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken was so overcooked that it was only dry, almost powdered meat under the dried, burned skin. I ordered the philly cheese steak, and for the second time it was barely there, meat and cheese, only two worse to boil over, hard bungalow. There were a few bites, got disgusted and paid my check and left. On the way out, I thought I should let someone know that this was the worst, and our waitress said, and her answer to me was, well, we're short, and we have a line out of the door, and she just walked away as if it wasn't a big deal. I wish I hadn't tipped her because I felt it wasn't her fault, the food was so bad, but obviously, either she gets tired of all complaints, or just doesn't care. I really wish Guy Fieri would revise this place, I'm sure he would take back all the good things he said about the place.

Our waitress Catherine?s extremely nice! It is a true example of southern hospitality! Here I ordered the chicken pancakes as brunch (and orange juice as a drink). The pancakes my aunt shared with me were really buttery and delicious! Catherine would stop every 10 minutes to make sure we have an excellent culinary experience, and absolutely no one at my table was disappointed with everything. The chicken pancake was made with a lot of love and was so creamy! If you happen to be in Jax?s Mandarin district and look for an excellent diner, eat at Metro Diner! The best part? You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at any time!

Good part for the price. Even the children's meal was a lot of food. You have an order wrong, and my toast and hash browns have been burned? ordered by uber eats

We love Metro Diner! It is our favorite to-go breakfast on the weekends. Always quick and the whole family loves it. Portions are huge and the food is delicious.
