Bidra med feedbackFor over 35 years, I have eaten hundreds of strawberry milkshakes at many different ice cream shops. Until today, the standard by which all of them were measured was from Dairy King in Plymouth, Michigan. They have always been the best I?d ever eaten. Today I ate a strawberry shake from Dreamette in Jacksonville, Florida. It has now become the standard by which others will bemeasured. I don?t know who makes the assessment but the sign on the front of the shop says, ?Florida?s #1 Ice Cream Shop.? From the ice cream I?ve eaten while in Florida, I would have to agree.
Best soft serve in town. They have swirls and strawberry flavor which is hard to find either, most anywhere. Very classic Friday night ice cream joint. Better than spending limbs of money at cold stone or somewhere like it. only cons no indoorseating, cash only weird upside: pants are required
At the corner of Post and Edgewood in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida stands the original Dreamette, Our local ice cream stand has been chasing the heat with their sweet sweet soft serve treats since 1948. Be advised, they are cashonly.
The ice cream is super yummy and very cold. Even on a hot day, it didn't melt too fast. I got vanilla strawberry swirl with rainbow sprinkles?cuz I'm a child according to my husband). Next time I think I'll stick with plain vanilla sprinkles)because I think it had the best flavor. The staff is also really friendly and quick! I loved the 50's music they play?reallygives it the classic ice cream parlor vibe.
I love this place! Their treats are so creamy delectable! They move to assist customers at a very fast courteous pace. The only downfall is that they only accept cash, no credit cards nor Cashapp. Hopefully, that'll upgrade seeing as there will beseveral other locations coming soon.
