Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q - Jacksonville

We order from here about once a week. The 2 meat combo and the 1949 Burger are our go-to choices. My husband loves their brisket and potato salad and their burgers are huge! The vibe is like going to someone's house, lots of noise and a festive feeling. They have a daily special but pay attention when they ring up your bill-They have forgotten to take it off a few times. (But they always make it right). I definitely recommend it.

Just grabbed a combo for lunch. Ribs and brisket. I've always been a fan of Bonos mustard sauce and it's still very good after all these years. The ribs were big and meaty and tasted great, but the brisket was a bit dry. It was ok but not as good as expected. The baked beans were excellent too. The mac-n-cheese was terrible as I only had one small bite. Overall, the ribs were great and the brisket was ok when covered in the sauce. It was a Tuesday after lunch around 2pm. They have an outside walk up window for togo orders and we ordered after getting there. The employees were friendly and professional, and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes.

Overpriced for mediocre BBQ. Used to love this place but now it's pushing $20 for a decent sized lunch.
