Village Kitchen - Jacksboro

The best coffee ever. The waitress was so nice. We had a really good breakfast. You can say the locals are going here. Very clean.

First off – delicious. I ordered the chicken Fried Steak and eggs and it was great. A good test for CFS is whether the dough holds or drops on the meat. This was the test with flying colors. In addition, the meal costs a sweet tea just over $11. That's a sweet deal. Now the docked star is waiting. It took some time and the kitchen/wetstaff seemed quite disorganized (some of the other evaluators also mentioned that). I wasn't in a hurry, so I don't mind, but if you are, you can find another option. For the relaxed diner, I recommend the Village Kitchen for a cheap, delicious meal!

The first time to visit this place was surprised. Very fair prices and no waiting on a Monday near lunchtime. Had the chicken fried with eggs and the portions were right for a complete breakfast for this hungry old man. If you're hungry, stop.

Hubby and I were headed home to Fort Worth after a weekend of camping at Lake Arrowhead, and found this place. Absolutely delicious! My chicken fried steak was hand battered. Hubby's onion rings were the perfect consistency and temperature. The burger was huge. No complaints here.
