I had a better memory! Cold welcome, gray pasta and artichokes nothing special! We won't be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
For goodness sake, we arrived on a Saturday without a reservation and we are Romans. Having said this, we spent more than 80 euros between three of us (no wine, one course each and a child) because they managed to make us pay 12 euros for a plate of plain rigatoni for the child which was completely dishonest which we asked for because unfortunately the pasta was He didn't like sauce (4 year old... classic food selectivity). Dark environment, basic kitchen... paper tablecloth... anything could have been fine but the final bill definitely inspired a less than positive review. When you eat at home it's always better. Unfortunately my experience was not positive. It 's a shame because it started off well, starting from the very kind and attentive waiters and the nice place that was consistent with the Roman tradition (music included). Very good appetizer, especially the artichoke alla giudia, as well as the bruschetta. I then asked for a variation to have a vegan pasta (there are no vegan options on the menu) and I asked for pasta with tomato sauce. Unfortunately the dish served to me was overcooked and a little salty and I asked for the kindness of having one in exchange, but not without having first tried to eat an extra bite so as not to be unpleasant. And when the waitress returned the dish, the chef scolded her by telling her out loud that she should have asked me if my tastes were for undercooked pasta or not, thus placing the blame on her. At that point I decided to ask for the bill and leave, because I find it disrespectful to loudly rebuke one of your collaborators so much as to reach the other end of the room, especially since the fault certainly could not be attributed to the waitress. After all, 30 seconds too long is enough to overcook a pasta and, given that it can happen to anyone, I would have gladly accepted a dish as a replacement.
