The Star Of Kings - Islington

This place is trying to be a gastro pub with an eclectic interior, but I'm afraid it just doesn't work. It feels a little grubby and didn't have much of an atmosphere. I'm afraid the food was a little poor too, with the bar staff not really knowing what was on the menu, and the food coming out quite small and not really gastro standards.

Sunday roast lunch was a bit dissapointing not warm enough and a bit formulaic Staff were fantanstic and attentive.

Star of Kings is a cool place, great hang out vibe interior and the 2 pizzza's for £10 was good value fresh and deliciously big. Bar food sausage rolls looked home made and filling. Great for lunch and dinner in a good location near King's Cross.

Popped in here for the first time on a Friday afternoon and really liked the place. Really attractive decor, two rooms, and a lovely enclosed seating area out front. Beer is craft, rather than cask, but supporting primarily local breweries. Friendly staff too. The karaoke in the evenings doesn’t appeal, but each to their own!

Amazing place for a great karaoke experience! We booked the place for a work social. Everyone enjoyed the karaoke to the fullest. Great selection of songs and a little stage adds an extra bit of oomph! Food was excellent! The mini burgers and pork bites were delicious. Overall great experience!
