Hectors Bothy - Isle of Skye Highland

The cappuccino at this restaurant was expensive and disappointing. However, it could have been salvaged if enjoyed slowly while seated with a nice view. Unfortunately, we had to take our drinks to go and were asked to stand shortly after being seated. Personally, I prefer to enjoy my coffee seated, so this unexpected change of plans was disappointing. It was a rare moment where a cup of coffee managed to ruin my day.

I enjoyed a delicious bowl of fresh mussels one afternoon while visiting Skye last winter. The service and staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely return to this restaurant again when in the area.

I was only here for a coffee and a snack while waiting to collect a friend at the bus stop. Kyle doesn't offer many eating choices in January so I was grateful that this place was open. It's fairly basic cafe fare, but served with a friendly smile and a chat. It's clean, cheery and has some nice bits of local artwork on the walls. The coffee was above average too.

We just had dinner at Hector's Bothy and were very pleased with the service, food and price. The food came quickly, was hot and tasty ... the local beer was cold and well priced. Thumbs up from us! From Alberta Canada
