Bidra med feedbackMy friends and I were all very happy with our experience. Great Service, and a cool vibe. We had multiple types of empanadas and the onion and cheese flat bread. Another stop we picked up the sliders to try and we loved those too. We will definitely include this stop on our next trip.
Another of Isla’s hidden gems ...the empanadas are ‘the best’ ..the secret is the ‘sauce’ which is very distinctive ..owner and staff were very friendly ..you may have to look a little bit to find it but well worth the effort ..in the general area of the grocery store
Food was wonderful. Flatbreads, empanadas and salads are excellent. Next visit: sliders! Owners are friendly creating a very comfortable environment.
Nice little place, cute decor, good food. I had the chicken sliders and a ham cheese empanada. Wife had spinach and tomato basil empanada. Everything was awesome, they do not serve beer but there is a Six across the street. Map is wrong the trip advisor map shows the wrong location. This is a few blocks north of the Chedraui at the Y. Mapquest the Sesoloco left just before on “Isla blanca”
Roberto and Mariana have moved on to greener pastures in Italy. They sold the business to some very nice people. They taught them how to make the food. The flatbreads are still good (although there was no chimichurri on my flatbread). I didn't try the salad, as they were out of kale. I appreciate that they told me they would have to substitute spinach. I didn't want spinach, so being very clear that the meal would be different, was greatly appreciated. I really did not like the BBQ tacos. They were nothing like the pictures I have taken. They don't taste the same. And, the quality of ingredients has diminished. The chipotle sauce was not on the tacos. There was barely any cucumber and tomatoes, etc. They were dry, low quality meats and links, closed with a toothpick. We had to ask for the sauce. They brought a TINY cup of it, and then it tasted more from a grocery store bottle, than the old sauce that was definitely homemade. I will definitely come back to eat here, but will avoid the BBQ tacos. The empanadas were good. The flatbreads are still good. They are a sweet couple. With time, and more success under their belt, they may be able to make the tacos with better ingredients.
