Pinguino Restaurant - Isla Mujeres

Our group of seven tried tacos, Al Pastore, marinated shrimp, tacos, crispy tacos, chicken nachos, horchata and a few other drinks and everything was absolutely delicious. If you was breathtaking, and our server was knowledgeable and polite.. definitely would recommend.

We stopped at this quaint little restaurant during our excursion to Isla Mujeres. Service was prompt and friendly. The view of the beach was terrific. We ordered chicken nachos and shrimp tacos that were quite good. Not a bad place to stop for a quick lunch and drink as you look out at the beautiful beach and turquoise water.

The service at this location is really slow. It took 20 minutes to get waited on when we stopped the first time. The second time was even longer. The food was average at best but it was close to our hotel so we came back a couple of times. Overall this was disappointing only in they were two busy for the staff they had.

I've never in my life had service this bad. Had to repeatedly ask for missing items from the order. Server got stroppy with us following which other people in the restaurant commented how rude he was. Avoid.

We arrived at Posada del Mar early and headed here for a bite to eat and some beers while our room was getting ready. The waiter suggested the chicken fajitas with some added cheese. It was very good with fresh tortillas. The place wasn't very busy and there was only 1 waiter. Yes, we had to wait maybe more than normal but I just chalked it up to island time and didn't let it bother me.
