Bidra med feedbackWe found this place because our Fodor's guidebook recommended Loncheria La Lomita, which was incorrectly marked for this restaurant's location. Still we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! We were tired of over-priced, forgettable tourist food in fancy environments. La Negrita is a few plastic tables in a tiny room with an even tinier kitchen up a step and off to the side. The friendly owner handed us some well-worn menus but went on to tell us he hardly had anything available from the menu. So we asked him what he did have and we went with an order each of chicken and beef fajitas, which we shared amongst two adults and our three young children. It was more than enough food plus we shared two large glasses of homemade jamaica (sweet red drink made from a local flower), all for $15! By far it was our tastiest meal in our few days of vacation and the best deal. Highly recommended!
Authentic Mexican food. We enjoyed eating here And would return The owner was a nice man and seemed to take pride in his restaurant.
So glad we stopped here for lunch instead of the stretch of restaurants on the tourist stretch. Some of those are good too, but if you want to eat where locals eat, this is it. A golf cart vendor at our table and a hotel staff digging into the pork stew behind us... we couldn't be more pleased we found this gem of a eatery. The food was freshly cooked and delicious enough for us to wish we could just stay and eat the rest of our vacation here. The boss is really friendly and the vibe of this 6-table gem is truly charming. You've got to try the quesadilla and homemade lime juice. Easy, simple, tasty Mexican food. Highly recommend if you want a less touristy meal.
Been to Isla Mujeres a few times and discovered this little place last year. We fell in love with the tacos as pastor and the frijoles al pastor. The food is really good and the restaurant is quaint. It doesn 't open till around 6pm or 7pm, so we consider this to be a late night snack place. They do catering here during the day and again the food is quite good. Why the 3 out of 5, I would give it more like 3.5 out of 5 as the service we received there this past visit wasn 't great we tried to go there a couple of times mainly for the frijoles al pastor and 2 out of the 3 times they didn 't have any, he kept saying Manana so we left disappointed untill the next day!
En este lugar queda demostrado que la buena cocina no siempre debe ser caraAquí comimos una fajitas y unos burritos de primera a un precio económico
