Kiku Sushi - Irvine

Lunch at Kiyo is a must whenever I visit OC. Sometimes I think I actually make the trip from northern to southern California just for their lunchtime deluxe chirashi don. It's truly a delight and so worth the price. They give a great variety of fresh fish, shrimp, scallop, and uni- all plated beautifully. I've come for the chirashi several times now and it never gets old.

Another incredible experience with this place I decided to have my birthday dinner at Kiyo this year, and this place is simply one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants in the area! This was the 3rd time coming here, but also the very first time dining in due to covid. The service is top notched , and the ambiance is great (the bar tables aren't open still). Food is impressive as usual! Sweet shrimps were still moving when severed to us; and our must order Uni don was heavenly as always; and we tired their deluxe chirashi bowl this time, it was good, not impressive (since we ordered Uni don) but still very fresh and the portion was definitely worth the price. In short: I will always rate this place an A or A+ and recommend to every sushi lovers!

My friend invited me here for lunch and recommended their chirashi bowl (lunch special was $20 I believe . They have indoor bar and table seating and we sat at the bar. The tables are pretty close together so if you are not comfortable sitting close to other parties, you probably should snag a seat at the bar or get take out. (They were pretty packed for lunch. The chirashi bowl was awesome! Big slices of fish, some real crab, spicy tuna, seaweed salad and a couple small pieces of abalone on top. This bowl was so beautiful and generous and the quality was excellent! It was so good, I told my husband about it when I got home and the next day we got take-out. For take-out, they even include a little gel pack in the bag to maintain freshness on the way home... so thoughtful. Prices here are a bit higher but the quality is also higher. For a better deal, try one of their lunch specials. Service was nice. Located in a strip mall so parking is a cinch.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE. If I could, I would rate this place for under zero star for the service over here.DEMANDING TIPS.My friend paid by card and I tip by cash. I put 15% tip. The lady pulled our back and asked for more tips. That was very SHAMEFUL, DIRTY and DISGUSTING behavior. Guys! Tip is a compliment for your service not customers have to pay that for you. However, the food is still good.

Fun vibe good sushi Whenever me and my husband would have sushi cravings this place is in our top lists! Not only it's given that it's close to where we live, close to super market , Starbucks etc but it's actually really good quality sushi and great service! It's makes the whole dining experience better when the team remembers you and that gives us extra feeling of appreciated. Definitely recommending this place! Tips: you can use yelp check in!
