Ipoh Loong Kee Dried Meat

As always, this place is packed jammed. Sort 1/2 chicken with the new chicken price after 1 June 2022. However, the Chicken Wings and Drumstick were missing... I wonder what table it was...

Decided to try both the famous chicken shops in the area. similarly they have lesser crowds on a weekday dinner. service and food were also fast served. half chicken portion size was smaller than the competitor but the flavours are richer, more fragrant and stronger. the noodles has a slight peppery taste as compare to the other shop. taugeh was same same for both restaurant.

As usual, famous dishes: Ipoh chicken bean sprouts Hor Fun (flat noodles). The Hor Fun in Ipoh is different with what u can eat in KL, it’s more smooth, thin, perfectly pair with the chicken bean sprouts.

Ong Kee on Ipoh. Let me try before I comment. OK. The beansprouts very good. Fat and juicy. The char siew.. Average at best. The chicken is of the tough variety. Nice but may not suit the palate of those who have tried the unmistakable tenderness of the Singapore variety..
