Bidra med feedbackThis place always so wonderful a staple in our rotation of wonderful Mexican restaurants here in Columbus. I highly recommend the gorditas and tamales! And of course, the quesabirria is dynamite as is everything else they make. Do yourself a favor and check this place out and stop by the Oaxacan bakery just a few shops down!
Let me start by saying this place use to be in my regular rotation of mexican spots. Their quality and portion sizes have went down tremendously in the last year. Ive had several somewhat questionable if not disappointing visits in this past year but my most recent will be the last. Made an order for 2 orders of quesbirria comes with consome) a birria quesadilla also comes with consome) 4 pastor tacos, 4 carne asada tacos, and 4 chicken tacos. Resquested extra salsa verde and salsa roja informed them id be willing to pay extra charge if necessary they said it wasnt). Order total comes to $87.92. I only state the total for context. Not only were all the tacos extremely skimpy on the chosen proteins but the carne asada was very dry and bland. We didnt get a single side of the consome that should have come with three of the menu items ordered. They gave me 8 containers of roja salsa and 3 verde. for those unfamiliar with traditional tacos, when ordered they always come with limes and one cup of roja and verde salsas) For 87.00 i dont feel like this many issues is acceptable and its become a regular occurence with this establishment. It is unfortunate as they really were in my regular weekly rotation for authentic mexican food. Woukdnt recommend this place to anyone as its been a steady decline for the better part of a year now.
It’s decent if you know nothing about Mexican food .
Great food and great atmosphere! Prices are reasonable as well.
I ordered steak tacos (onion on the side, no cilantro) and birria (same), which came with consomé. The food it absolutely delicious. I had a super short wait and just sat in the restaurant while I waited. I didn't order them (which is why I went originally, oops) but just so people know since I know they're hard to find sometimes; they have chicken tamales with green sauce and pork tamales with red.I will be going back again. Absolutely delicious. Excuse my not beautiful photos (bad lighting AND I was already eating things, haha) but it's SO flavorful. One of the best birria I've had.
