Food was excellent. I had a gluten free bun with a beyond burger, and both the bun and patty were perfect. Wonderful atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced and tasty as well. Good for small groups! I have no notes. Just fantastic across the board. Lucas provides excellent service. The owner is very personable and often makes time to come out and speak with guests, which is a very nice gesture. Hands down best burger I’ve had in Iowa City! Burger haul has it all. Clean, classy, and most importantly, reasonably priced while still being delicious! I can’t get over how perfect the burger was and how tasty the onion stacks are. Joe the owner came out to make sure everything is perfect and it was! This gem is easy to pass by, but don’t. It’s all home made and that includes the ice cream and pies as well. Do yourself a favor and drop in, it’s worth every penny.

Wish I could give them 6 stars. Went before Hawkeye football game. As far as I could tell, they had one person working front of house and one (they owner, I think) in the back. Lucas (up front) ran his butt off. Literally running table to table. At one point I think he had 9 tables plus the bar and we really had excellent service. Owner came out and checked with everyone. Thanked us for coming. Food was good, fresh, tasty. Granted, it's a simple menu, but they did it well. Only draw back, not a big fan of pouring IPA in a snifter, not even high gravity. But if that's my biggest complaint, life is pretty good.
