Strange Bird - Indianapolis

Some of our food was fine. But most was not up to speed based on what I would expect with other reviews. A cold shrimp cocktail came out so off of the required temp that we questioned how long it was keot out of the required chilled temperature ? After our many questions they changed their statement ir was just boiled a few minutes ago. I hope so that we all don’t get sick Service was way below standards and we could determine why when they indicated they would put an automatic 20% gratuity. So they didn’t care. What they failed to realize with great service (even if food isn’t up to standard) we tip 30 to 50% at least. But again they didn’t deserve 20% in any version of the process. When we asked to talk to a manager or owner, the statement was no one was available until a young man came up and said he could assist. We started to review the concerns we had seen that evening and instead another female taller employee started to make negative comments and get in the conversation without being asked to become part of the conversation. She was not our server And was never involved with our table She ended up making our decision. That we would never give this location another chance again. All I can say is way too many good places to eat in Indianapolis. Don’t waste your time taking a chance it might be a good night there vs bad. Good food is not a high standard here And maybe the health department should pay a visit.Parking: It was easy. But again restaurant wasn’t Extremely full

New favorite! Every bite was great (app, entree, dessert), and wonderful drinks. It’s now a regular date night for us. Sit at the bar, Ryan and Katie are brilliant. Ramen, curry, oysters, key lime pie crazy good!

The 70's vibe is neat. They have the AC on full blast, so bring a jacket!! The avocado toast was yummy. Also tried the bourbon plus butter flavored milk shake which was yummy. Very trendy vibe, in a good way!

Another great meal from Strange Bird. I absolutely love the fun tiki vibe in this restaurant, the amazing food, and the stellar drinks. The service is always great. Come early for half price oysters!

This restaurant will forever be my favorite spot. It’s hard to even decide what I loved best about my experience last weekend. The service was all around outstanding. The host, the waitress, the cooks that walked by and checked on us were all so kind.Now, when I say this food was the best food I’ve ever had, you’re just going to have to see for yourself but I’ll rant for a minute. The ramen was absolutely amazing! The dumplings, perfect. The sweet WINGS were seriously the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. Lastly, the drinks were top notch, unique, and fun!To top it all off the music was awesome and was at a volume level that allowed my table to comfortably talk while also randomly jamming out. 10/10 I can’t wait to go back and eat everything all over again. Next time I’m getting the oysters too!Special shout out to Tito for the amazing food and hospitality!
