Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is cold and sterile. I had called earlier in the day to confirm my reservation which had been made over a month ago. No problem. When we arrived a very condescending hostess informed me that no, there was no reservation. They must have bent the rules for me though and took us to a table in a small triangular area of the restaurant. The atmosphere would have been better if the service staff had known how to serve in a high star restaurant. I am not used to having my wait staff lean over me to pour water and wine. They were unkempt and poorly schooled in service. The first question was as to our water preference. Tap or bottled. The menu is limited. The prices insane. The tomato mozzarella chopped salad was divine. The Cesar salad was made with a bottled dressing. The steaks were very tasty and properly prepared. The side dishes were definitely over salted. We shared the creme brulee which was wonderful and plentiful. This restaurant's prices are not in keeping with the region. I will not be returning. Meal for two with wine, two salads, two steak portions and one desert >200.
I took someone special there for a birthday and he had the surf and turf. I tried his steak and it was great (I like how they cut it for you so that you can make sure it's prepared properly). I had the Australian Lobster Tail. If you like Lobster, it was the best. I have never had any lobster as good as this. It is a little pricier than Ruth Chris's in my opinion, however, for a very special occasion it's well worth the extra money.
