Bidra med feedbackI have heard about Napolese but I had not had time to visit it until last week. Napolese is in downtown Indianapolis right by the circle. The environment inside of Napolese is like a hotel dining establishment. The restaurant is not big but has an open concept with a lot of windows! I visited with a friend of mine and we both ordered drinks! She had the rum the jewels and I had a glass of Chardonnay. Our server provided us with great detail on drinks offered. We both ordered a pizza and split it! Her pizza had potatoes on it while mine was a typical margherita pizza. They both were wonderful and fulfilling. I will definitely be back on a warmer day!
This was my first time at the downtown location. I hadn't had Napolese in a long time and quickly remembered how great their pizza and salads are. My sister and I split the house chopped salad which can easily be split between two people. I love the salty salami and chickpeas. We also split the Meridian Kessler pizza which has sausage and mushroom with red sauce. I love a good wood fire pizza. The thin crust is perfection. If you want a light and refreshing cocktail, I suggest the Hugo's Boss. Lemon purée, vodka, Prosecco and mint. Service was a little slow but our waiter was kind and patient with our party of 8. I highly suggest checking out of of their locations around Indy for some great quality pizza!
Ahhh my dears, there is nothing quite like sipping wine on the Napolese outdoor patio by Monument Circle. Kick it off with the Baked Capriole Goat Cheese starter the cheese is surrounded by tomato sauce and comes with the BEST garlic focaccia bread to dip. Next go for the chopped salad, either vegetarian or non (comes with bacon). This is seriously my favorite salad in town. It's incredible and I'd love to know what's in the dressing! It's perfect. I've recommended it to friends who are going here and they've all agreed as well. The craft pizza is unique enough for you to appreciate it, but familiar enough for you to crave it on a weekly basis. It's creative without turning anyone off my non foodie and foodie friends love it alike. I'm a sucker for the classic margherita. Lastly the Olive Oil Cake and Affogato di Gelato are your desserts to get. The Olive Oil Cake was moist and incredible and the affogato espresso was poured over the gelato and was presented in a really cool way. It was perfect to share with our group at the end of the big meal, as we each got a few bites and were satisfied. Thanks so much, Napolese! I'll be back soon.
I think Napolese offers THE best salads in the Midwest inspired by seasonal fresh healthy ingredients!!!! We took the extended family for dinner last week. We made reservations for 7 people and we received four reminders by phone and email, so we did not forget. The restaurant is upscale and not crowded on Friday night. I thought the chairs were uncomfortable but the food was so good that I quickly forgot about the chairs. Our 5 star server, Hunter, recommended salads and . We ordered the Carrot Sweet Potato Salad $13) the Vegetarian Chopped Salad $11) and the Arugula Parm Salad $11). It was great to see something other than romaine and croutons. All salads, artistically created, were unbelievingly fresh and tasty. We savored every bite of the generous servings. The salads were 5 star. For pizzas, we tried the BLT $15) the Smoked Salmon Pie $17) and Hamaker's Corner Pizza $15). The pizzas were interesting and 4 star, very good. I liked the BLT the best with goose jowl bacon, leeks and an Italian cheese. This pie quickly disappeared. The $80 bill was a bargain for feeding our group of seven. We went home with an entire pie worth of leftovers. I recommend for a great casual meal downtown with artistic fresh ingredients.
We finally decided to order takeout pizza from here after months of thinking about it we got the Classic and cacio e Pepe pizzas I gotta say some of the best ratio of toppings to ricotta/cheese in general I've ever eaten on a Napoleon style pizza! The crusts were a little burnt which made some slices harder to fully enjoy but other than that we loved it. The focaccia bread was TO DIE FOR I have been craving it ever since. Absolutely added to our list of future pizza options from now on!
