Marco's Pizza - Independence

My first time Marcos tried, it literally brought me back to childhood! The taste of the ingredients, sauce and homemade crust were all 5 star hands down. Had the old world pepperoni, cheese bread and cinnamon my second time. You can taste the love that makes these pizzas! The only reason I give 3 stars is that NO ONE wore 1 gloves on my second visit. I make myself bread from scratches and I know for a fact that what among nails will definitely be in dough without gloves. Secondly, I saw that a guy came out of a smoke break and went right past the sink, and continued to complete orders with his dirty cigarettes/nob handle hands. Also a driver we saw smoking when he woke up went straight into the kitchen to help with the raw dough without washing his hands. NOT ONE PERSON said a word when he put his evil hand in the dough and began to stretch dough balls. That was my second time and it threw me away because the pizza is absolutely amazing, but my daughter and I couldn't even enjoy knowing the hands that were prepared it was absolutely disgusting. I would really love to see gloves in any case as we are post pandemic and in already strange about hygiene around my food. Hopefully next time they have gloves and possibly shields above the sink say employees have to wash hands. If I didn't probably go back there.

Compliments to the chef who made our pizza. Asked for well made cakes and they were perfectly cooked!

I?ve been going to this Marcos pizza location for a little over five years now and never had a problem with the staff or food. After today (8/20/22) I will not be returning due to me getting extremely sick after purchasing pizza from this location. I ordered my pizza a little after 1pm and picked it up before 2pm. When I tell you I was sick to my stomach that?s what I mean. I don?t know if their washing their hands, handling the food properly or what is happening while making someone pizza. My stomach was so upset after eating their pizza, I do not recommend this Marcos pizza location anymore. Something is not right. Up until today (8/20/22) this use to be my favorite location but not anymore.

Great experience with great service. Pizza is good and toppings are plentiful. Definitely feel like you get what you pay for. Plenty of cheese and cooked right. Product looks like the pictures you see. So many places do not! Definitely better product than the other guy in town.

Great thin crust pizza. The old world pepperoni is a cupping pepperoni and is outstanding. Staff is helpful and willing to help in any way they can. There are other piece of crust is a hand tossed which is fairly thin.
