Healthy yet delicious cuisine. Loved the restaurant.
Healthy food gets a new meaning. While ascending the up-hill of Road No. 92, Jubilee Hills, if you have come across a round bill board displaying a green and white colored logo with Santé written in an eye catchy font and wondering what this sign is all about, well! Santé translates to “health” in French and spa cuisine uses healthy, fresh, organic ingredients to prepare balanced meal that are low on calories, salt and sugar. And if you think Spa Food is boring, tasteless, devoid of flavors and highly priced, then paying yourself a visit to Santé Spa would only clear your misunderstandings. This place advocates natural ingredients that are colorful and seasonally produced shunning the usage of refined products. Covered with lot of vegetation, the ambience is as natural as it could be. When you visit, take your own sweet time to acknowledge the specially designed squared pots that are engraved with health food related motivational quotes. The upholstery are done in tones of green emanating a calm and serene environment. There is a Buddha statue that is apparently hand-crafted from a solid stone and to the north east corner is a water fountain which was quite relaxing in its sight and sound. The entire place is built in a way that complements and increases the pleasure of the food that you are savoring. It has an alfresco, and a two storied indoor seating. We choose the former as it was a pleasant winter day with the right amount of sunshine. Interestingly, for vegetarians not only the cutlery is different but even the Kitchen is. The veg food is served in the plates that are made up of neem wood. Soup is served in a stone bowl to retain the heat for the longer time. Roasted Tomato and Garlic Broth was intensely flavored and worthy enough to slurp the remains. The attractively colored Beetroot and Spinach Hummus will make you order extra Khakra Chips (Multigrain as you enjoy the fresh, chunky and so-velvety-smooth chickpea dip. The pan seared Zucchini Kebabs tasted bit bland initially but when smeared with broccoli chutney and salsa, it was altogether a different ball game. Tomato and Broccoli Scramble was one of the scrumptious I ever had. Served with toasted bread, it becomes my dream breakfast. The notable thing in both the dishes was the crunchy lettuce served in the side salad. “Bajra Riso” was innovation at its peak as the contrasting ingredients (Mungo, Cheese, Green Beans, etc. complemented each other so well, leaving your hunger pangs and taste-buds both satisfied to an extreme level. We couldn’t extract the maximum pleasure from the vibrant Farm Fresh Pizza as we were engrossed in taking multiple pictures. The base, too crispy at the edges and similar texture towards middle was made up of Ragi and other multi grains. Exotic Veggies doused in creamy-spiced coconut broth with the right flavors of Galangal and Lemongrass made for a spectacular Thai curry. It was served with Brown Rice. The Moringa Almond Vanilla Smoothie Bowl, a breakfast meal in itself was thick, dense, delicious and topped with superfoods. The presentation is artistically pleasing that you wouldn’t want to eat them. It’s steeply priced but nutritious, power-packed and sufficient for 2. Activated Charcoal and Coconut Milkshake might not appeal to your eyes but when you taste, you won’t shy away to ask for another helping, provided you love the coconuty flavor. It not only boost your energy or brighten you skin but cures hangovers too. Now let’s talk about their Desserts which was an absolute guilt free indulgence of all sorts. Baked yoghurt with Lemon and Lemongrass was a bomb of flavors. It took me few seconds to understand the esoteric taste before they left a distinct lingering trail on my tongue. The unconventional ingredients such as jaggery caramel and pink Himalayan salt harmonized together with the wheat-flour making the Mud Cake as the ultimate pleasurable dessert. Their home-made coconut ice cream drizzled with palm jaggery, rich in protein and iron, would put one in a sweet ecstasy. This is one of the peaceful Tastings whose vivid image shall remain in my memory for more than a while. Whether you want to push yourself in solitude, or enjoy a wholesome meal with your family and friends, Santé Spa Cuisine should be experienced at least once. The vegetarian food might appear upscale but the pristine and organic ingredients that they source does much justice to its pricing.
It is rare to find a place that immediately uplifts your spirits upon entering. Amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy street, you will discover Sante Spa. Designed to provide inner relaxation, this place truly lives up to its name with its soothing ambiance. The minimalist decor and lush greenery create a magical atmosphere. With both indoor and outdoor seating, Sante Spa caters to all your needs with beautifully crafted spaces. The outdoor seating area, with vertical landscaping and the gentle sound of a mini waterfall, offers a blissful experience. The indoor seating area is equally tranquil, with ample space to relax and calming colors that set a peaceful tone from the moment you walk in. At first, I was puzzled by the name "Spa Cuisine," but it all makes sense once you experience the healthy yet delicious food and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant has separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, with unique utensils for each. Vegetarian dishes are served on cutlery made from neem wood, adding a special touch to your dining experience. You can also choose to enjoy detox water alongside the regular Tulsi Basil water on your table. Sante Spa offers a wide range of dishes from breakfast to dinner, focusing mainly on vegetarian cuisine. They have recently introduced non-vegetarian options specifically for Hyderabad. Prices for vegetarian dishes range from 200 to 500, with most mains averaging around 350 and starters around 250. Non-vegetarian dishes start at 240 and go up to 550, with an average price of 350 to 400 for many items. The food at Sante Spa is prepared without preservatives, artificial colors, or gelatin, and most dishes are gluten-free and Jain-compatible. I had a delightful and healthy start with the Moringa Almond Vanilla Smoothie, which was both nutritious and delicious. The Chia dish was filling and energizing, perfect for breakfast or a snack. The Activated Charcoal shake was surprisingly tasty, and the pineapple spinach spearmint drink offered a refreshing detox option. The soups, mains, and desserts at Sante Spa are equally impressive. From the Roasted garlic tomato broth to the Tibetan thukpa seafood soup, every dish is flavorful and satisfying. The vegetarian options like the tomato and broccoli scramble on multigrain toast and the Khakra with spinach and Beetroot hummus are a healthy treat for your taste buds. The Pan-seared Zucchini kebab and Thai spiced fish cakes are must-try dishes that will leave you craving for more. Their unique dishes like the farm-fresh pizzas and the "Bajra" Riso showcase their innovative approach to healthy eating. The Thai curry with brown rice and the Multi-grain mutton khichada are rich in flavors and textures. Desserts like the Lemon and lemongrass baked yogurt chia and the Coconut and palm jaggery ice cream offer guilt-free indulgence, while the Salted Caramel Mud Cake is a heavenly delight. With a vast menu and a welcoming ambiance, Sante Spa promises a new dining experience every time you visit. The quality of food and the ambiance justify the prices, making it a worthwhile dining destination. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Sante Spa, as it guarantees a satisfying and memorable culinary experience.
