Black Cat Tavern - Hyannis

Amazing place with ship like inner decorations. Bread and butter is always cool, and the food was delicious. Came here with a group of friends for dinner when visiting, would recommend stopping by!

I personally enjoyed every second at the Black Cat Tavern. They have 2 outdoor sitting areas and outdoor bar and a 2 air conditioned rooms with indoor bar area . That place is huge ! Drinks was amazing personal favorite is spicy Blueberrie margarita. Food was delicious. Everything that we ordered tasted amazing. Portions are big. Staff was friendly. Great experience! Highly recommending this restaurant. There is something for everybody on the menu.

Had the clam chowder to start and the taste was perfect. They even captured that sandy flavor that really makes you feel like you’re at the beach (and you are, it’s one street over). I think the creamy texture was great as well. My entree was the shrimp scampi which was seasoned well but there was a huge error made. The tails were left of the shrimp. 0 people want this, I’ve never met anyone who wants their shrimp with tails. I had to dig into my pasta and fish out the shrimp and remove the tails by hand. Not something that I should have to do myself. The kitchen can and should handle this before cooking.

A must stop if you are coming down this way. Best food in town, atmosphere has not changed for years and staff most accommodating. Lobster, clam chowder, and a the cat’s meow IPA is my GOAT. Been coming here for years and it worth the 2 hr flight and 2 hr drive from Boston.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. We visited in late October, off season, but still beautiful. The atmosphere and employees at Black Cat were wonderful. Loved the lobster roll. Would highly recommend visiting here!
