Sophia's Garden Tea Room - Hurst

Not a good place for a little girls tea party. The elder woman serving us was rude. The place is too small for all those kids (8 kids) plus the mommies and we were told we were taking up too much space but the party minimum is 6 kids. I peaked through thedoor in the back to ask for a knife and omg that kitchen was NASTY!!!...asked for a knife to cut the cake and was handed adirty one, she didn 't apologize at all. Then we needed plates for cake and were advised we needed to bring our own because cake stains their plates we ended up eating birthday cake off of napkins with our fingers. That fact was never mentioned to mewhen I booked the party. Then she charged us 13% gratuity for bringing out the food once and refilling drinks once. I was underthe impression that the money we paid per child was to cover the costs for the party. Don 't waste your time and money

Love this place! Great chicken salad, potato soup, fresh fruit, potato salad and more! Apricot/Cherry iced tea is so refreshing. Wonderful selection of desserts that always taste great. Not fancy as far as the decor and atmosphere, but the food isexcellent!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The woman managing the place was not particularly friendly, and the website gave a misleading impression of what we would receive. We expected a full tea party, complete with teapots, cups, and delicate finger foods. Instead, we were served chips, cut fruit, and quartered sandwiches. All drinks came in cups with lids, similar to what you would find at a regular restaurant. Additionally, we had hoped to wear cute outfits but weren't given that option until almost the end of our visit. Overall, we were quite let down by the experience.

Miss Tommie is the most delightful and attentive hostess. The food is both delicious and fresh. The outfits were adorable, reminiscent of playing dress-up in mom's closet. Both the kids and the adults had a wonderful time. It's a fantastic spot for a Valentine's or Mother's Day lunch. My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday there, and she loved it!

I hosted a tea party at this venue, and the food was expertly prepared! Every dish was delicious! The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The owner was welcoming and treated us like family. The terms we discussed beforehand were clear, fair, and reasonable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! I highly recommend hosting your event at Sophia's!
